Vapour-cycle AC refrigerators damage inverters whenever their compressors kick in, due to inrush surge and then back-EMF. Fitting a soft-starter helps, as does oversizing your inverter by a factor of at least ten.
Solid-state refrigerators are typically feeble. Harmless and play well with others, but near-useless.
Haven't played with a vapour-cycle DC refrigerator yet, best bet, expensive but not as expensive as replacing your power station every six months.
