The law of Moses (Old Testament/Judaism) said to "Love your neighbor as you love yourself" (Leviticus 19:18). As with so much of Jesus' teaching, He so often raised the bar on the commandments and/or brought them back to God's original intent. Now He commands us to love each other the way He has loved us. That means loving even your enemies... (Luke 6:27) 😮👀
Romans 5:8 — “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:10 — “While we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son.”
