Hermes Agent is certainly an impressive piece of software, but I can't shake the feeling that it's some kind of incredibly rough beta that every user ends up modifying with their own LLM, to whatever extent that particular model is capable of improving Hermes for them. I can't say I'm particularly happy about that.

For projects like this, structure and development culture matter too. If I wanted an LLM to keep modifying the agent harness for me, I'd just build my own harness. I wouldn't need Hermes for that.
