I know some high-level individuals in Brave and just like signal they have the intentions in the right place and are trying to do things properly.

You can use your own models and most of the data is held at the browser level.

I'm not saying there aren't any risks. I'm just saying that the vast majority of people use Safari or Chrome. And Brave is a definite step up for them.
