Yeah - I've never got the Weber kettle going for me. I don't know how it got so popular in Australia. As a smoker the meat is too close to the charcoal & it's impossible to regulate temps.

I really enjoy smoking meat but I wouldn't have gotten there if I'd stuck with the Weber Kettle.

I have a $1600 Kamado Joe & a $300 bunnings bullet smoker (which I paid $50 for). They're both great but for the last 6 months I've exclusively used the bullet smoker. I was going to buy a Texas style offset smoker during the next bull run but apparently I missed it. 🤷
