I always thought the root of capitalism was the investment of capital, hence the name. Dominantly, I see the investment of credit which then lacks skin in the game risk component. I've stopped calling this corrupted system capitalist. I call it creditist which I personally feel is rational to distinguish usurious debt based cantillionaire immorality from true capitalism and which promotes betterment in society. I've gotten to know a couple of true capitalists in the past few years and the mindset, compared to having set up a business and then getting bought by Harvard MBA creditors is chalk and cheese
