yeah, everything i'm seeing and hearing about tbilisi right now reminds me of the situation in sofia around 2013. by 2021 after having had two separate bank accounts, fibank and unicredit, i went to all of the big main banks in varna with residence permit and employment contract and passport and they refused to open an account. the script of my contact with unicredit, barely 6 years since i had an account with them, was out of a kafka novel. i was forced to use icard which didn't have policies against opening accounts for me. that's just one fragment of a wider pattern of legislative and governance changes that tell you a place is now under occupation and will be sanitized and made uniform with the rest of the empire soon.
