  "content": "I don't see a problem with them for small amounts. I wouldn't keep more in a Spark wallet then I would carry on me.  If I got rugged I would be pissed but if I got robbed for my pocket change I would be pissed too. I understand that that there are some privacy concerns. If your doing a bunch of stuff that you wouldn't want anyone else knowing then you shouldn't use them. For most things it's way better privacy then paying with a credit card that most people use now day for IRL or online payments. I still haven't seen where they can dox me other then IP.  But a lot of service can see IP, if I download any wallet the hosting providers can see my IP,  my on chain foot print is also seen when moving funds into that wallet. A lot of people on here love ecash which can also do fractional reserves, works with shit coins, and can rug you. \n\nI'm not saying all that stuff I mentioned is good. Are there better options out there? Yes.  Do Spark, Breez, liquid swap wallets work for the vast majority of people? Yes. Do I expect most of family and friends that our interested in Bitcoin to go watch a BTC Sessions video to receive there first zap? No. Do I encourage them to do so? Yes.  Would I rather have my friends and family keep using Cash App or some other services to send money back and forth with each other or just use something like Blitz which offers way better privacy. \n\n I make a lot of lighting payments IRL and for online purchases. I have used other wallets that failed because of Tor errors, channels not having liquidity, or some other reasons. When I was trying to be all high speed I had multiple payments fail and had to switch over to a fiat payment.  Am I retarded and didn't watch or read enough tutorials? Probably.
