Given a long enough timeline, I don't see on-chain being viable for smaller transactions anyway.

Perhaps. Hard to say. Just hope it doesn't become like the past... "Why hold your own Gold when you can deposit it for an IOU Bank Note?" --> "We'll even pay you deposit interest!" --> "Oops... We are exchanging your Gold to the Feds, cuz it's the law now... but just keeping using the pieces of paper!" --> 😣 "Just buy our stock/ETF/token/IOU (MSTR, NAKA, STRC...) ... L1 is too slow/expensive/risky" --> "You don't need to access the real thing. Just use the derivative." ---> "Node running is expensive and self custody is risky." 🤐😶‍🌫️😳

Yeah 23. Was like 40$ for a L1 to go through. How embarassing to explain to newbs that this is what Bitcoin is for. Yeah L1 volume has been meager since. Storm is on horizon is what im saying. It'll be Stablecoinz, tokenz, and then... Tail emissions and 21+ million. And miners will just mine the fed coin inspite of what pleb node runners are wanting. Once fiat elites are exercising power, the water becomes much more murky. Godspeed to whatever "bitcoin" becomes.

Sure. But also... I've often pondered if the current reality of mining was the best way forward. I don't mean proof of stake (🤢) but the monero ASIC resistance algo always seemed intrguing. Perhaps ASIC corporate mining was inevitable, sure. Perhaps ASIC pay to play is literally the security of the network at the base layer. Sure. But it's OK to envision different formations of decentralization too. I've often just wondered if there's a better way to do mining. It might evolve like the rest of the network. 💭

😣 lately all I keep thinking is humanity isn't ready for Bitcoin. It's waaaay too powerful of an idea to have decentralized "for the plebs" type of p2p money. Far too much power and responsibility. Derivitivies, ETFs, Digital Credit, Bitcoin Loans, Shitcoins, Stablecoins, FedCoins, Custodians, Exchanges, KYC, Institutions etc. And now Blackrock is here to help with the Privacy budget. 🤡😊🤢

I think the Proton ad is good, but misleading. TONNES of apps *specifically* get microphone access despite being apps that wouldn't seem to need to require it. (Photo editing app for example). So your mic is, 100% being used to harvest you. Let's assume it. In most normal cases. Yes, behaviour profiling doesn't require much access, and is powerful. And is not widely understood nor cared about, but mic access makes it easier for Random Company XYZ to collect and sell data. Very specific data.

OK. So Microatrategy's mission is too... Hoard debt to buy BTC in order for its stock price to move adjacent to BTC, with leverage/multiplier. OK. And then to offer a 10% fiay cash yield on another fund. So it's a leveraged ETF and a 10% yield. 🧐

Decent perspective. Yeah... I get your point. But Google builds stuff. So value is created in exchange of products for cash. What is mstr's product? Their stock valuation? That's more of my point. So, you've hoarded all the bitcoin. OK. Congrats. Now what?

Fair. Well congrats then. I'm not particularly a fan of Pixels tbh... I'm a fan of freedom, sovereignty and FOSS. And not having BiG tech spy on all of us and data mine us into oblivion for the overlords to feed us algorithms (etc etc... Cough cough) Which is why Graphene rips. The Nothing phone is, aesthetically, the most cypher punk looking one. Based solely on looks. But sounds like you guys have a tough time getting hardware to be compatible at the lower abstraction levels with your security modelling. So kudos.
