I know an area where people are dependent on DRUGS because they treat doctors as almighty authority the same as they blindly follow what the priest say against all logic. 😩 Sadly, I see it first hand and those people have been on drugs for decades and never better. Then it becomes a pattern — making a joke at your expense. if you are not attentive to it, it can be a sign of passive aggressive. regardless, it is better to catch them in the act and ask them of their behaviour if they intend to do x or y. This put the court back at them. I am with you when giving people the chance after you communicated your boundary. 🫂 But sometimes, if they always drain you, good riddance is your best shot. It's better to spend your energy to those who deserve your company — the one that uplifts you and keep you growing. ☺️

It's the opposite. 😬 Communicating your boundaries takes a lot of courage and not a lot of people realise this. Some would go so much length to bend backwards in order to accommodate theb sooner resent themselves and the situation they are in.
