I just didn't care enough. I was looking for a quick and easy way to earn money online. I saw something about Bitcoin mining, tried to have my computer mining but gave up when it didn't work within my first few tries. I bet if I had put a few days of intentional wok and research I could've had it running.

Your missing out on the checksum advantages of a mnemonic

No I'm not. It's the perfect solution.

What happens when someone gets ahold of it and disassembles without knowing? Larp

If they find it I sure hope the worse they'll do is disassemble it 😂

I don't think someone is responsible 100% for every outcome happening with a product. For example, if I shill the new Toyota on my podcast because I like Toyota, I use one and I'm paid to promote it, I don't believe I should be held responsible because this specific new model had a flaw in it that led people to die in car accidents. We're probably mostly on the same page. I'm not saying there's absolutely zero responsibility or anything to learn from that and things to change but my focus is really not on blaming podcasters for that. Especially so when it is not really the device itself that failed at protecting the seed but one (very important) feature that was flawed.

What have you learned from this?

Bitcoin is radical responsibility. But I see a lot of people blaming podcasters for shilling coldcard.

I think that qualifying BIP 110 as an attack on Bitcoin is retarded. I'm not an expert on this stuff, but going through the process they are currently going through seems to be what Bitcoin is all about. They're just using the protocol. If you consider people using the protocol to achieve somethings you disagree with to be "an attack on Bitcoin" it seems like you think Bitcoin ought to be exactly what you want. But I don't think that's the case.

I don't think so. I wouldn't put any malice on this. I think people are just trying to make new cool cars and people love cool cars with new gadgets but no one is thinking about the consequences of those cars full of electronic gadgets in 20 years.

The modernization of cars will contribute to a surge in poverty over the coming decades. As computers become deeply integrated into every system, repairs have become increasingly expensive and often impossible to do yourself. Something as simple as replacing a headlight or changing a battery may require proprietary software, specialized tools, or even a trip to the dealership. It doesn't seem like a big problem today because these vehicles are still relatively new. But in 10 or 20 years, when people are shopping for affordable used cars, the consequences will become obvious. A cheap used car will no longer mean cheap transportation. Every small fault could turn into a major repair bill. Many perfectly functional vehicles will be scrapped because fixing a minor electronic issue costs more than the car is worth. For generations, buying an older car was the path to affordable mobility. That path may be disappearing.

It's actually more the unburn wood smell that annoys me. As soon as I opened the bag it was in I knew I probably wouldn't use it for long. So I didn't get used to it. Not even after a couple days of having it around. It's not that it *stink* but I smell it sharp and it annoys me. I only burned it once (multiple times within the hour) tho so I'll probably give it an other try later.
