It's strange because Italian doesn't do that, we put the verb in the middle.
I do remember in Latin it can be in the end but it isn't so strict as rule. (For what I remember, a lot of time passed)
In Italian to put emphasis in phrases sometimes you could use it at the end of it. Other times if the sentence is short, the past participle is the last word of the phrase.
I did a brief search to be sure of what I was writing, looks like Japanese does like German.. lol
