I am in the camp where I fundamentally respect someone’s personhood, but when it comes to character I am definitely in the “it’s got to be earned” camp. From day one I am focusing in on both the micro human transactions and also the big interactions. I want to see how a person builds their story over time. I also want to hear from others who have had dealings. I want to gather information about how they handle the really tough situations that come from time to time. How on earth could they tell the time? How on earth could their parents keep track of them?They weren’t even listening to music!
