Kruse also claimed to have a recording of his own from the Brunel interview. Why does he want to release her copy? This guy is a primadonna. Why not just make another recording of the same material on his own? Does he really have his own recording of the interview? Is he afraid he won't remember the same story he came up with when he was with her, and she will expose him as a BS artist?

I'm sure he was talking about Saylor, but he might be at the top of the list. It's unlikely Kruse was including Mallers, but Dixon explicitly named Mallers as sus because of the partnerships. Personally I'm glad Jack is taking on the role of being fiat bridge and bitcoin services. Nobody else is going to be breaking his back to perform and improve the way Jack does. Ita not like he's saying "buy my shitcoins" or "buy my security because it's just as good as bitcoin" or "I'll never sell my sats" or some other bullshit. WTF is the point of money if you can never sell it? That's like collecting your grandmothes jewelery or garages full of your grandads tractors for sentimental. Not a store of value, that's a store of sentiment. Bitcoin is made to be spent. Its useless if its never spent. That is half of its core function. The other half is its digital transportability. That is what gives it its value. I get it, don't sell your sats when you can spend your dollars first. No duh. Sell your chairs before you sell your bitcoin. Fine, if you insist. Store your money in bitcoin instead of dollars. Well of course. Buy bitcoin and never sell it? Maybe not ALL of it, but that's not reasonable. The reason you have money in the first place is to be a "delay channel" for your wealth. So, yes sell your bitcoin, but as little as possible and never sell your "nest egg". That's not just a rule for bitcoin, that's always been a rule for savings.

Trump is on an AI slop roll. I remember back in the early 1980s the fountains all still flowed in the capitol malls. Then sometime around when they blew up the teacher in the space shuttle, they stopped opening them up in the spring. By the mid 90s, every fountain was cracked, dirty, dry and the statues vandalized and spray painted with gang signes. Then, by the 2010s, government karens thought it better to replace fountains with skateparks and paying for graffiti on abandoned buildings of businesses they drove away. This was intentionally counterculture, as if hating America and anything beautiful should be government policy. Crime, drugs and loitering became the standard. They created a "panhandling permit" scheme, as if to separate the fake panhandlers from the real panhandlers. Eventually homeless tents and stolen shopping carts were desired to block walkways in every park. Here is an AI slop song for the occasion to remind us what it was like when society had higher expectations. https://npub1c856kwjk524kef97hazw5e9jlkjq4333r6yxh2rtgefpd894ddpsmq6lkc.blossom.band/0b021caa68cc2899772395f9b08330fd179982cea8483caa75103980545b1d01.mp3 nostr:nevent1qqst7h820uy0dq4phdek2s2dw0ch8q04pqn7dgkncx8m278eyef4k8gpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsygykr6wqlzwcagdlcf0xgm9fez2masrpqeeqa900ypywp2490telzupsgqqqqqqskmjj2x

It should be thought of as matters of degree of custody, degree of risk tolerance, separation of concerns and asymmetry of incentives. The mint operator is incentivized to keep honest in order to continue receiving lightning revenues. One should not possess more than a few thousand sats in a cashu mint, or whatever amount you are tolerant to risk. You can offload your excessive balance into a self-custodial lightning wallet, such as Zeus. If you are a serious user, you can run your own mint - even one on your phone connected to your own lightning channels. For onboarding users, using a centralized mint should be sufficient - because firstly, you aren't advocating any particular mint, and secondly, a new user shouldn't need to worry about self custody right out the gate because it's complicated, and thirdly, moving to true self-custody is part of the learning experience. nostr:nprofile1qqsqgc0uhmxycvm5gwvn944c7yfxnnxm0nyh8tt62zhrvtd3xkj8fhgpzamhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgtcpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerfw36x7tnsw43z7gwae9u's notion of creating Bitcoin wallets from the same seed as the nostr nsec does not solve the self-custody problem because self custody is more than "going on-chain" it is primarily to understand how to keep your keys secure. A new user will not know how to do that right-out-the-gate, therefore expect a new user's nsec is probably also throw-away. Cashu solves the onboarding problem and this is why nostr:nprofile1qqsrf5h4ya83jk8u6t9jgc76h6kalz3plp9vusjpm2ygqgalqhxgp9gpr4mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmp0qyt8wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnddaehgu3wwp6kytcprfmhxue69uhhxetwv35hgtnwdaekvmrpwfjjucm0d5hs592xhz , maybe one of the best mobile wallets out there, has also chosen it as an onboarding pathway.

When a sender resolves a user’s LN address, the Zeus backend would first check the availability of the user’s LDK node. If the node is online and reachable, it returns a standard Lightning invoice generated by the LDK wallet, allowing direct, non-custodial settlement over the user’s existing channels and LSP. If the node is offline, instead of failing the receive path, the endpoint returns a Lightning invoice issued by a configured Cashu mint. The sender still experiences a normal Lightning payment, but settlement occurs at the mint, which issues eCash tokens associated with the user. On the client side, Zeus already has the primitives to complete the loop. When the mobile device comes back online, the wallet detects pending mint-issued tokens (via blinded messages or encrypted delivery) and automatically redeems them into the user’s local wallet or converts them back into Lightning liquidity as appropriate. This creates a seamless dual-mode receive path: synchronous, self-custodial Lightning when online, and asynchronous, mint-buffered receipt when offline. The result is a single LN address that preserves sovereignty under availability while eliminating failed payments due to node downtime, effectively bridging Lightning’s real-time constraint with eCash’s store-and-forward model without exposing complexity to the sender.

He claims it is stateless and anarchic, but in effect it is not. It is minarchism in effect, only not in name. We all know what happens in minarchism. The state is a monopoly on the use of force. Rothbard proposes a free-market on the use of force, believing the market will self-regulate it.

Why do we not have ingredients like these in our cabinets, but it is in nearly everything we buy from the store? - Guar gum - Carob bean gum - Xantham gum These are binding-agents to prevent the food from separating (similar to lecithins, which are surfactants and emulsifiers) while the food is being transported and stored in refrigerators, on the way to your home. Are they completely inert? No! Some are plant derived, others are byproducts of fermentation from specific bacteria. These gums can irritate your intestinal wall leading to leaky-gut, and it modifies your gut microbiome by feeding some species of microbes while disadvantaging others. It also can trigger autoimmune responses leading to IBS. You are almost always better off making your own food from ingredients you grow yourself, anything else is a compromise and your body takes the toll.

Whether you agree isnt the topic. I'm responding to 25 years of study of anarcho-capitalism. I explained why it is anti-Christ, principally because it presupposes that overall mankind is good, when Christ says it is not. By arguing against anarcho-capitalism, I am by no means arguing for its "opposite." My position is that it is in-effect no different than communism, and it is not an alternative to statism, but that it is indeed the road to statedom even though it calls itself stateless and promises a stable stateless society. I do not concede that statism is the only viable system, only that anarcho-capitalism, as it is defined by Molyneux and Rothbard, would not deliver what it promises and instead would result in something far worse than the global kleptocracy we have today.

The Christian position is that mankind tends toward darkness of hearts. The anarcho-capitalist position is that "on average" mankind tends toward ethical decisions and it is "government" itself that defiles society and causes evil. My observation is that anarcho-capitalism is incompatible with a reality absent a "true" Christian society - of which also cannot be demonstrated because none has ever existed and can only exist "at the end of time" and in a world that is perfected in Christ - of which is "the hope" but at least does not portend that man can live in perfect peace without the power of God's influence over their spirit. The foundation of Anarcho-capitalism is anti-christian - unfortunately, but in reality.

Possibly—but the difference is structural, not superficial. Anarcho-capitalism presumes that a stable ethical order can emerge from self-interest operating within a system—i.e., that incentives, markets, and social pressures will produce and sustain non-aggression across a population, including those with disproportionate power. Christian anthropology does not make that claim. It begins with the premise that such an equilibrium does not arise naturally. It assumes the persistence of disordered will and does not rely on system design to correct it. Any ethical consistency, in that framework, comes from transformation of the individual, not from emergent behavior within an economic structure. Rothbard’s model still depends on a functional moral asymmetry: there are bad actors, but also enough “restrained” actors—particularly those in positions of power—to enforce norms like non-aggression without themselves violating them in ways that destabilize the system. That constraint is not derived from capitalism itself; it is assumed. So the issue is not simply whether a “common ethical framework” can exist. It is whether that framework is expected to emerge from incentives, or whether it requires a change in the underlying nature of the participants. Your position is that anarcho-capitalism implicitly relies on the former, without demonstrating it.

You’re collapsing categories that need to remain distinct, and that’s where the confusion begins. Anarcho-capitalism is not the same thing as Austrian economics. Austrian economics describes how individuals behave under scarcity and exchange. Anarcho-capitalism makes a prescriptive claim about how society ought to be structured. The fact that Rothbard held both does not make them logically equivalent. Your argument leans on Austrian assumptions about self-interest, but then extends them into a claim about social stability that is not demonstrated. Saying that people are self-interested does not establish that self-interest will reliably produce a non-aggressive, non-oppressive equilibrium—especially among those who accumulate disproportionate control over property, capital, or security. The system you’re defending depends on more than selfishness. It requires a shared normative constraint—that aggression is off-limits—and it requires that this constraint holds even when violating it would be materially advantageous. That is not a neutral assumption. It is a moral uniformity condition. You appeal to ostracism, competition, and defense agencies as enforcement mechanisms. But those mechanisms presuppose that power remains sufficiently distributed for them to function. If control over land, infrastructure, or force concentrates, then exit becomes constrained, competition collapses, and “voluntary” order can degrade into enforced hierarchy. At that point, ostracism has no leverage against those who control the terms of participation. So the issue is not whether people are “good.” The issue is that your model requires predictable restraint from the powerful, and there is no internal mechanism guaranteeing that outcome. Historical observation cuts the other way: power tends to consolidate and defend itself when it can. Separately, on your rejection of God: You assert that God does not exist, but you do so without offering proof—only analogies and dismissal. That is not a demonstration; it is a position. My claim is not that I can produce physical proof that satisfies your standard, but that I have sufficient evidence to satisfy mine. That is the nature of epistemic freedom. The absence of universally compelling physical proof is not a defect; it is consistent with the premise of free will. If reality were constructed such that God’s existence were as undeniable as a physical constant, then the freedom to accept or reject Him would be materially constrained. Instead, we are given existence itself, consciousness, and the capacity to reason—enough to seek truth, but not enough to eliminate choice. From that standpoint, the disagreement is again at the level of first principles: You ground order in incentive alignment among self-interested actors. I hold that no stable, universal ethic emerges from that alone, because human nature does not self-correct at scale. Anarcho-capitalism, as you present it, assumes that a shared non-aggression ethic will emerge and persist without transformation of the underlying nature that violates it. My position is that this assumption is unfounded, and that no system—stateless or otherwise—resolves that problem on its own.

“Could possibly be stable” here means stable between communities—assuming that “insurance” mechanisms and competing “defense agencies” would somehow produce order and peace among anarcho-capitalist societies. In this sense, it resembles a form of stateless communism, but with property ownership and money. It may, in some respects, be even more communal than communism itself, though imagined in a context of abundant land and resources, whereas classical communism operates under conditions of scarcity and population pressure. Paradoxically, it can also become more “state-like” than communism, evolving into a system of quasi-governed enclaves—akin to pervasive homeowners associations—that individuals are expected to join. It does not adequately explain why such communities would admit outsiders, nor does it resolve the possibility that life within them could resemble a managed enclosure, controlled by a small group imposing arbitrary rules and extracting value. Under such conditions, it may produce a system less free than its alternatives. At its core, it assumes a shared commitment to a non-aggression ethic, effectively disregarding the persistent realities of human nature—both the instinctual and the intellectual inclination toward rebellion. It presumes that these can be neutralized through a common ethical framework, an assumption that remains unsubstantiated.

I think anarcho-capitalism is essentially communism at a smaller scale, with the added hypothesis that it could possibly be stable. It begins with the observation that “man is always in a state of anarchy until he encounters the state,” but communism makes a very similar observation: “man begins his life in a communal society where his parents provide for his every need, and he acts in the ‘communal self-interest.’” Both are true, and both are only partially true. This reflects a pattern of thought that identifies essential truths, distills a view of the world through a single idea, and then extrapolates an idyllic world where people are assumed to be “essentially good.” Marx and Rothbard are more similar than they are different, though this is difficult to see because they appeal to different aspects of self-interest and envy—Marx to envy of the rich, and Rothbard to resentment of the state. Both can be understood as engaging in forms of social engineering, presuming that people are more good than bad. At root, their shared shortcoming is their rejection of a Christian anthropology. If one begins with the premise that all are fallen and require rebirth through Christ into true sonship with the Father, then the notion that man is, on average, “good” is a deception. An idyllic world cannot emerge from human systems alone, but only through the reign of Christ. In this view, government exists not to restrain those perfected in true freedom, but to govern those who are not. The perfect world, then, is not one managed by an improved social structure, but one in which all are redeemed.
