I fixed it in my last post that I tagged you in. Nothing at all wrong with nostril, it was just the way I interpreted it. I used tagn 3 and expanded 3 tags, but that was not correct. I was unclear that there were many classes of tags. It seemed to look OK in the apps, so I've been running that way for nine months, and you are the first to mention it.

Independent, distributed financial ledger as described in the Bitcoin Whitepaper. But, it takes more than just the tech, you need people running the nodes and sustaining it. This forms a foundation. I'm not a Bitcoin person or crypto of any kind, so my details are high level, but that is what I mean.

I'm just one person. One key point is I have *zero* ideas on how to solve peak complexity from this side. This is where I vary from the Bitcoin folks who feel it is the solution from this side. I solve nothing from here. My work is primarily for refactoring and visualizing after collapse events. So, pretty much aligned with much of your response. I just don't see Bitcoin as a solution either. I could well be wrong, and the foundations that you and other Bitcoiners are laying down I *could* see as critical, if we collapse in ways that preserve chip fab and network connectivity. Both things might also be true. It might take collapse before Bitcoin sees broad adoption (defining broad adoption as most people I see and most stores I see in my neighborhood.) There is room for both perspectives. Few are building simple cognitive tools like mine. Everything I build will run completely offline. Further, it is all very small. An entire Logical Map, multi-level data and material flow and documentation is less than 1MB, and is included in a single artifact (a PNG file). We don't particularly appreciate that now, but not needing to pull from ecosystems around the globe (and mostly owned by a centralized apex cloud entity) will be important as this crumbles. Resilience is a disposition that emerges after crises. Cognitive tools, decentralized payment ledger methods, decentralized communication (Nostr, Bitchat), permaculture, focus on local communities/culture... all of that I can see as needed as part of our kit. I'm not arrogant about my stuff being needed at that point, but it is possible, so I'm putting it in the time capsule.

I have quite a bit invested in Oberon at this point, so identity shifts should settle here. I'm abandoning the other npub. As for Bitcoin, I have learned enough from my time on Nostr to see the truth in what you are saying, but this is from (ironically) a logical perspective, not a physical perspective. Bitcoin is still quite technical and has a deep, complex supply chain behind it from the physical perspective (mobile phones, nodes, ISPs, GPUs). I admired the Satoshi Bitcoin Whitepaper enough, that I used it as a model for my logical map paper: https://zenodo.org/records/18231930

I decided to change my npub from here: nostr:npub1ngs4dyj46z36ne6lrh3wfjyrexlzu4s43plj9vhv76cczw7dtp7sf96dlu There are two main reasons: 1) I created all of my Floppy PNGs using this npub that I'm posting from. I embedded the hex version in the graphic, and sign all of them with the nsec that is signing this post. I've gone back and forth on that, but it seems useful to have consistent identity for those trying to verify. 2) I generally follow those that follow me. Culturally, I'm off a few notches from many on Nostr. My politics and understanding of where I fit in the world and what I'm doing here are significantly different, and this causes cycles that neither of us need. I'm OK with learning new things, but in the large majority of cases, I've realized that it is futile to engage with zealots. I have learned some things here, more than I have on other platforms. By changing my npub, I can give others a chance to engage only if they are in a state of mind to be two-way. Put another way, if you can still deal with my shit after my flurries, there is another chance to engage once you realize I'm pretty much running to my own drum and won't ever do Bitcoin (or any other crypto currency). Besides not doing Bitcoin, I'm also relatively conservative as far as geopolitics and freedom. I see our struggles as civilization grappling with being way past peak complexity. I don't see it as a struggle for freedom against encroaching oppression coming from everywhere. There *is* oppression coming from everywhere, but it is a symptom of peak complexity and other constraints of 8 billion people in an increasingly extractive relationship with nature.
