This is great. Although we could refer to gold as an "apex monetary network" the simple fact of the matter is that everyday plebs used other metals to settle debts. ie, not everyone was using gold, not even close. it's not going to be any different in the future. the Bitcoin maximalist narrative was always stupid.

you see God, or whatever you want to call the force that governs this intricate mechanism, provided to me mechanism for wondering about the world and how it is put together. I use that to get observational data and wonder about creation. when I don't understand something, I find that further investigation usually result in uncovering unbelievable beauty. I feel sorry for you, your dull plodding faith and lack of wonder at the mystery of creation.

My first thought is that " nobodty cares" ie obv there isn't demand for this, the mempool is empty. maybe we do this after blocks are full? oh but we HAVE to go ahead and do this because no normie will use L1 for P2P transactions because we ruined the UX with our design choices. and my second thought is that this is just recreating banks. it's just a centralized custodian on Bitcoin. they are either doxed and vulnerable to regulatory pressurw or they're shady. so we're recreating banks in order to make up for ruining L1 usage. awesome. when do we get to the Freedom Money part? That's what I signed up for.

the best way to help in a time of chaos and the best way to stick it to the assholes who want to rule the world, is reduce your energy consumption from the state market and increase your sovereign energy usage. A HUGE part of which is *transacting directly with your counterparty* for the things you need. it doesn't matter if its Bitcoin or Monero it doesn't matter if the node is running Core or Knots it doesn't matter if there are shitcoin grifters somewhere and people betting on state assassinations and agents spamming the feed just stay humble and transact p2p. #bitcoin #monero

in the future we will just tell our Agents to follow particular rules when paying certain kinds of invoices anyway... "pay purchases of <1M sats from minibits. if balance is too low swap some Monero through Eigen and deposit it in the mint" "my landlord wants L-BTC, do an atomic swap from my LN node. If there isn't enough, prompt me to sign a 10M sat withdrawal from cold storage #3." users will decide what kind of storage they need and with which security model to secure their assets. the software will handle moving the assets between the different chains. as long as they are chains of digital signatures packaged in decentralized timestamped PoW blocks, they are #Bitcoin.

John turned me on to Layerzwallet this morning. They have a good list of different Bitcoin layers/sidechains they want to support. There are a few varieties of BTC -> XMR atomic swaps. Improvements in monero scripting to make it easier are forthcoming. More and more LN wallets are parking sats in Liquid to improve UX. Its not terribly difficult to build atomic swaps to LTC or ZEC if there's demand for it. theyre basically BTC anyway. and yeah, you can store your wealth in the chain with the highest hash if you want. its all #Bitcoin man, I'm not joking.

there will be a thousand chains with different security models. as long as they adhere to the underlying ethos of sovereignty and decentralization, they are #Bitcoin. people will use the chain that fits their needs and move back and forth between them. it's already happening. our job is to educate about the scams and help people navigate the new territory.

nah I'm not entirely sure I'm making a real point TBH just that sometimes "evolution" doesn't just mean a specific protocol and whether its changing or not although that is obv what we were talking about but sometimes evolution is a quantum leap in wider perspective (ie digital assets in general rather then Bitcoin specific) so if we're measuring agreement by the free market of people using software isnt eth where the greatest agreement is? but even if we just ignore that wider perspective and just focus on BTC I don't think non-economic nodes get a "vote" tbh
