Third paragraph I'm fully in agreement with. Regarding separating Bitcoin from fiat - I've had a recent breakthrough.

I still see the fiat price because much of my commerical reality demands the conversion, but otherwise I only measure bitcoin in gold. It's currently around 12.7oz per coin for example.

I can't fully explain why, but this has liberated me. Saylor has bene talking about BTC vs gold for many years so he helped me reach this point.
