  "content": "\nOur relationship with the computer on our desk has changed, and there is an advantage of embracing being a Nym.\n\n## Then\nIn the pre-ai era, you had sovereignty over your computer, and you kept it protected from the larger internet. Your files and information were kept private via a firewall. I couldn't fully embrace their power without giving them free reign of my computer, and that meant fully letting go.\n\nThe AIs and the larger internet can reach into my computer and do what they want, because there is nothing in there that I don't share. Anything important is encrypted, and as I am a public nym, there is nothing I do that I don't share.
