Love that you’re in the Republic. That divided soul idea is one of those things that ruins you a little once you see it, because you start catching yourself doing it in real time.

Where I get stuck is that he makes reason the honest one. Mine mostly shows up after the fact to explain why what I already wanted was perfectly sensible. Which puts the thing doing the governing in on the deal.

That’s about where the comparison you’re seeing starts to pull apart. He’d say a disciplined man is a good man.
