But then you guys keep using Bitcoin over Monero which makes me question the intelligence of some self-proclaimed Bitcoiners.

Bitcoin as narrated in 2010 changed long ago. It's not the same. The social construct forms the reception and imapct of a tool and Bitcoin is fully neutralised.

I wouldn't go so farcas calling it a bet negative just now, but I wouldn't rule it out. I already do think that Monero (as digital cash and a private store of value equal to Bitcoin) + cash + gold is a much better combo for freedom, wealth preservation and privacy.
