My Jumble's relay management increasingly reminds me of chaotic storage, from logistics. Just throw stuff at whichever random gateway is open, note where you threw it, move on.

The difference being, that in logistics you have to keep track of where you threw things, to find it, later. With chaotic relay storage, you just make sure the storage place is generally known (monitored) and other services pick up the stuff you threw there and spread it around to the places you generally prefer to look for things. It's actually kind of wild.
