Yeah, I also have Cake đ° on my phone.
They don't have to publish anything, as these aren't zaps. They're simply payment addresses listed on the profile page. Individual clients can create handlers for them. Opening your Lightning, Monero or Tether wallet, directing you to CashApp's or BuyMeCoffee's website, etc.
What you don't get is a public zap receipt. But what a client could add is a DM receipt that the payer could send you, after they have confirmed the payment. Then they don't have to write "By the way, I sent you some Monero." in the comments. Then it is very private, but also social, and you get a chance to say, "Hey, thanks! đ¤ " or "Oh, there's something wrong, it didn't arrive. đ¤ "
