So I've now realized that I always need to keep a backup.

Which leads me to the question: what's the best way to do that?

Is there a smooth way to back up my follow list and easily restore it when this happens again?

I'm choosing to see the whole thing as an involuntary housecleaning. 🙂 I've manually re-added several of you from the top of my head, but not nearly everyone. The rest will sort itself out over time.
