Governments have burned countries to the ground to control energy. The official stories were democracy, stability, humanitarian intervention. The real story, every time, was who controls the spigot.
That pattern never stopped. It just moved.
The same institutions that fabricated justifications for military intervention are now telling the public that energy consumption is a moral failing. Produce less, use less, own less. Meanwhile the monetary printer runs without pause, silently confiscating the purchasing power of labor while the people operating it lecture the world about carbon footprints.
This is not coincidence. It is the same play in a different costume.
Bitcoin mining is the most misunderstood energy story of this era. It is the only energy consumer on earth that can shut off completely and instantly, fully responsive to market demand. It monetizes stranded energy in locations no other industry can reach. The difficulty adjustment enforces what no regulator has ever accomplished honestly, efficiency through pure market pressure. Weak operators get priced out. The network gets harder. The scarcity of the asset being produced gets reinforced programmatically with every cycle. The system selfcorrects without a committee, a vote, or a bailout.
What that produces is a global price signal for wasted energy. Anywhere a satellite reaches, there is now an economic reason to capture what would otherwise be lost. That is not environmental destruction. That is the most honest energy market ever constructed, and it terrifies the people who profit from controlling the alternative.
Zoom out further.
Technology is deflationary by nature. AI is collapsing the cost of production, services, and labor faster than any institution can honestly model. In a sane monetary system that deflationary pressure would mean life gets cheaper and savings get stronger over time. Instead every deflationary gain gets inflated away the moment it appears. New currency gets issued to paper over the gap, to keep a debt structure alive that cannot survive honest accounting. Productivity gains are being silently confiscated to fund the slow motion collapse of a system that was mathematically broken before most people reading this were born.
Fiat is not competing with bitcoin on merit. It is surviving on mandate. And the mandate is losing credibility by the week.
The surveillance architecture being constructed around that failing system is the most sophisticated in human history. States and platforms that control money also control speech, movement, and access. That is not a future threat. That is the operating reality right now. The answer is not a petition. It is a bearer asset that requires no custodian, answers to no executive order, and cannot be frozen, seized, or inflated away by a captured institution covering its own losses.
21 million. No exceptions. No committee votes. No emergency issuance. Raw energy converted into absolute scarcity through proof of work, secured by a distributed global network of individuals each acting in their own self interest, none of whom need to trust each other for the system to function.
That is not just sound money. That is the load bearing infrastructure for everything worth building in a world where coercive reach expands every year.
Every monetary medium in history has competed for adoption. The ones that won did so because they were harder, more portable, more verifiable, more resistant to debasement than what came before. That selection process is Darwinian and it is already underway at a speed and scale with no historical precedent.
The force driving civilization forward runs on energy, computation, and honest money. All three are under coordinated attack by the same interests for the same reason.
The response is not to apologize, reconsider, or slow down. Proceed accordingly.

I was that man. Career, wife, two kids, house, cars, a pension waiting down the road. By every visible measure, I had it. What I did not have was the slightest awareness of what I was doing to the people around me or to myself.
Selfish. Ignorant. Narcissistic. I say those words plainly because they are true and because I earned them.
When the marriage lost its fire and the children demanded everything I did not know how to give, I retreated into work. Work was safe. I knew how to perform there. Home required something different, something I had never developed. So I made choices that were dangerous. Genuinely destructive. The details are not the point. The consequences were real and they were mine.
Somewhere inside the wreckage I started asking questions I had never bothered with before. Why was I made. What is this life actually for. Why is the world so saturated with heartbreak and why is it so hard for human beings to simply get along with one another.
I picked up the Bible. I had read it before, or thought I had. This time it was different. It was alive. The words were not historical artifacts sitting behind glass. They moved. They named things accurately. They explained human nature, conflict, pride, failure and redemption with a precision that no philosophy, psychology or self help framework has come close to matching.
Once you see it, you cannot unsee it.
God has literally reconstructed my thinking, my actions and my heart. Not improved them. Reconstructed them.
Today is the Lord’s day. I am not attending worship out of obligation or tradition. I am going because He is worthy of it. Full stop.
