The only time I got one was when we were all experimenting with that short lived, not maintained amethyst fork that had a monero wallet built in. I don't mind. I'm not here to make money. I'm here to shout meaningless nonsense into the void in such a way that I cannot be censored. Its all about censorship resistant publishing to me, not zaps. Though they are pretty cool. I am a pretty firm believer that this whole model of voluntary micropayments for posting is not going to earn anyone any consequential amounts of money. Its just a fun thing to me.

I think you mean Monero's tail emission. Yes, they are fundamentally different dynamics. This is a good point not a lot of people appreciate. I personally prefer gold's emission mechanics, and have actually (roughly) figured out a way to emulate it in cryptocurrency, but which is ideal is still an open question. A flat rate per block seems like it could maintain security adequate for the value secured perfectly, but it does nothing to smooth purchasing power (aka price) shocks. I don't know that that is necessary to do though, I think it is but empirically nobody knows yet. What I am certain of though is that a fixed supply necessarily leads to a collapse in the security model down the road.

And, instead of saying "this die is the coin", make the last of six (right to left and top to bottom" count as the coin, this randomizes any loss of entropy a little bit more should one of the dice have a significant bias.

Not comfortable at all. At first I thought I'd found the answer. By the time switched out I hadn't gotten a good night of sleep in probably months, constantly having to be mindful even while sleeping of how I have to lay, what angles I can't use, the swaying. I think I clung to the idea of it longer than I was enjoying it. I still love hammocks for lounging outside, sitting and cooking outside, usual camping type stuff. Its a nice novelty to have, an extra hang out spot for a guest that gets out of the way when you dont need it. But as a full time bed, its inferior and basically everyone will figure it out if they try it long term. Try it. See if it works. If youre still sleeping in it 3 years later and feeling great, tell me what I need to do right.
